About

Assembling the right team means everything.

KOW Building Consultants (also known as Kenneth O. Wille and Associates, Inc.) provides construction consultation services to traditional banks, private lenders, mortgage lending institutions, state housing agencies, city housing agencies, mezzanine lenders and other financial institutions. We provide engineering and building consulting services throughout the country, and we specialize in the greater New York City metropolitan, Tri-State, New England and Middle Atlantic regions. Our offices are in Midtown Manhattan and on Long Island just outside New York City, and we also have operating consultants in the New York State Capital Region, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.

The firm was founded in 1978 by Kenneth O. Wille, P.E., who provided construction loan monitoring and property condition assessment services for New York City projects. From Mr. Wille’s initial vision, the company has grown to employ technical plan reviewers and construction monitors from various backgrounds, including civil engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, building code inspectors, construction management, energy experts and construction lending.

Our in-depth understanding of the underlying construction and building principles and the financial landscape of today’s market is part of the reason we are so successful in what we do. We make sure that each individual on our staff has a solid general construction and engineering background, as well as specialized knowledge in their particular area of expertise.

Our construction consultants boast a wide variety of certifications, such as; Professional Engineering Licenses, Certified Construction Inspectors, Building Code Inspectors (NYS), Residential Home Inspectors, Energy Auditors, Certified Energy Managers, Building Performance Analysts, LEED AP, Passive House Consultants and New York City Certified Construction Superintendents. While this proven team approach yields great dividends for our clients, we do not hesitate to seek guidance and opinions from other outside sources, as may be required for particular projects.
