Direct Push Drilling

Direct Push Drilling consists of directly pushing a macro-core sampler into the ground by use of rapid vibration and downward thrust. When the core is withdrawn, a soil sample is obtained. This can be performed in fine-grained, moist soils with relatively low to medium density and enough cohesion to avoid collapse. Undisturbed samples can be taken from the bottom of the hole, and temporary or permanent wells can be set.
