Licensed Environmental Professional

A Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) in the state of Connecticut, has a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, and eight years of experience (four of which must be in a management role), and pass an exam. Alternatively, they may have a professional engineer license instead of a bachelor’s degree, or have 14 years of experience (seven of which must be in a management role).
The LEP is certified by the Connecticut State Board of Examiners of Environmental Professionals, and may investigate and remediate contaminated sites, as well as verify a site to have been remediated to Connecticut standards.
